The Werewolf Meets His Match by Kristen Painter
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I'm 12 chapters in and there is an incredible amount of angst. At this point, I want Ivy's "secret" to just come out already. I do love the narrator's voice. Hank and Ivy are an interesting pair. I've always loved wolf shifters and romance.

Okay back to the book-The couple that was the focal point of this story was more interesting than book 1. Yet, the author kept us on the outside-skimming over the romance, the passion, and the action. However, the narrator was perfect.

Overall this was a nice listen, not great, not bad just nice. I suspect this will be the model for all the books in the series. Heavy on angst & repetitive inner monologues and low on the action & romance. This means the potential to take this series from "nice" or "ok" too good and something you'll want to enjoy more than once. At any rate, I'll return this one and listen to the next one for free on my romance package via audible

The Gargoyle Gets His Girl by Kristen Painter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Nick & Willa's story was a bit more detailed. Where as the other books were 75% angst, this story gave us more action than the previous 2 books. It felt as if the author found her stride.....almost. I listened wanting to know what was going to happen next. It did lull during the battle between the two sisters and I found myself wanting to skip it. It was unnecessarily wordy. On to book 4, I can't wait to see who's next

The Shifter Romances The Writer by Kristen Painter
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The most loveable character in this tale was the mother. I didn't connect with the heroine, but I did love Alex and even Diego. I would love to see him, Diego, fall in love.

The Vampire's True Love Trials by Kristen Painter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It was nice catching up with the family that started it all. While the "rules" Tessa's family seemed to abide by started off as outdated and ridiculous. The final test and the father's explanation made it all make sense. Although in the real world, I can't say how soon I would have welcomed them into my home lol...ijs

The Vampire's Accidental Wife by Kristen Painter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Desi was not a likeable character at all early on in the story. She evoked some pretty strong emotions from this reader, which is a testament to the author's talent. I couldn't connect with her on any level.

Julian I loved the insight into his character and his playboy ways. I'm sad to be almost finished with this series. They were so enjoyable and entertaining. I LOVED the narrator he did a fantastic job throughout

The Detective Wins The Witch by Kristen Painter

I was hoping Marigold got her own story. I enjoyed this one just as much as the others. The author delivered a well written story with a good narrator to bring the characters to life.
