BOOK REVIEW

Set...Set...Set

As you know I'm in multiple book bae relationships at the moment. However, Them Boys just got pushed to the top of the list with Set Moses Mitchell leading the pack.  This series is touching on a major issue of what it takes to be a man. How does a father make sure his son is a man? What does being a man mean? How do you love that man when those teachings left him feeling as if he was so damaged he was not worthy of love? Enter Kareema.

I liked that the story involves two people who are finding each other over 40. They were both complicated and passionate. They had real-world responsibilities that adulting brings and that I could relate to as a "seasoned" woman myself. The author did a great job of showing the vulnerability in Set's world and the strength that Kareema gave him and vice versa. Together they were strong. Together they were the perfect Set. It's hard to pack a full story in a novella, much less an erotic novella,  but this author owes me nothing. This was an entire story and can be read individually, but why would you want to miss out on Jah or Shu-Shu?

Book 2
  Jah Jah by Alexandria House
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

SYNOPSIS
Neither of them was looking for the other.
Neither of them intended to fall in love.
And now, neither of them wants to let go.

BOOK REVIEW
This story focuses on the youngest brother, Jah and the catalyst to his healing that comes in the form of a loud-mouthed 42 years old named Tricia. Again, this story is heavy on the erotica. I mean sex is what leads to his healing.  How powerful is her yoni? lol  Sorry,  I couldn't help it. If you look at this story on the surface all you will notice is the sex. What you will be missing is the healing that occurs and the concept of soul ties.  The sex will hook you, but the love will make you want to stay.
Bring on Shu-Shu!

Description

Invisible.
Broken.
Seen.
Nurtured.
Loved.

Book Review

The story focused on the middle son, Shu, and his salvation, Denver. Both broken by those who were supposed to love them. Healed by a yearning need that only two of them could recognize in each other. I thought the story moved quickly ( a little rushed) and well. The characters experienced a bit of instalove and some blunt sex. House packed a lot into each novella. While Set and Jah are still my favorites. Sorry Shu Shuuuuuu
